RIU Hotels & Resorts to welcome guests to Mauritius again

October 26, 2021

The opening of the hotel complex on the island of Mauritius, the first destination with which RIU set foot in the Indian Ocean region, is great news for the hotel chain and its employees in the country, as their activity had ceased as of the closure of the borders in March 2020.  Now the two hotels, Riu Le Morne and Riu Creole, are opening their doors again with the necessary hygiene and safety measures.

Exclusive 24-hour All Inclusive service

Both hotels boast an unrivalled location as, in addition to being right on the beachfront, they are located on the Le Morne peninsula. This peninsula lies at the foot of the beautiful Morne Brabant mountain, which has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Customers can also enjoy the complex's extensive gastronomic offer and services thanks to RIU's exclusive 24-hour All-Inclusive service.

On 1 October the 313 room four-star hotel Riu Creole was the first to open its doors. This is the perfect family hotel thanks to its Fun4All qualification, guaranteeing entertainment and relaxation for all ages.

The 218 room Riu Le Morne will follow suit on 29 October, signalling the resumption of all of RIU’s activities at this location. This four-star Adults Only hotel is ideal for a romantic vacation for couples or with friends in a breathtaking natural setting.

Direct flights from Brussels Airport

Air Belgium flights with destination Mauritius will depart from Brussels Airport as of mid-October. In addition, the Belgian airline launched this route with a brand-new airplane: an Airbus A330-900neo. The first of these new planes has been in service on the new route between Brussels Airport and Mauritius since 15 October 2021.
